PHYSIATRIST OPPORTUNITY
Palm Springs, California
Southern California Permanente Medical Group (SCPMG) is recruiting for a full-time Physiatrist in Riverside, CA. The ideal candidate will be a collegial, flexible, and patient-focused physiatrist with strong skills in the conservative management of spine and musculoskeletal conditions. In this position, you will work closely with primary care, interventional pain, neurosurgery, orthopedics, and neurology to deliver comprehensive care.
Clinical Responsibilities:
- Manage a broad range of spine and musculoskeletal disorders in an outpatient setting
- Perform trigger point injections and ultrasound-guided procedures (e.g., SI joint injections)
- Perform basic electrodiagnostic (EMG/NCS) evaluations
- Provide thoughtful, evidence-based, non-operative management of spine conditions
- Optional: Candidates with interventional spine fellowship training are welcome to apply, though fluoroscopic procedures are not required

- Board-eligible or board-certified Physiatrist (PM&R)
- Strong foundation in musculoskeletal and spine medicine
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to team-based care

- Ability to exhibit emotional intelligence, flexibility, and a compassionate approach to patient care—adapting to the evolving needs of a large, integrated healthcare organization
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat congenital, acquired, and age-related disorders of the eyelids, orbit, and lacrimal system.
- Perform reconstructive surgeries for tumors, skin cancers and traumas.
- Treat functional problems such as vision-obstructing drooping eyelids through procedures like blepharoplasty and ptosis repair.
- Manage complex cases involving tumors, thyroid-related eye conditions and orbital trauma.
- Conduct tear duct procedures for chronic tearing or infections.
- Collaborate with other specialists—including plastic surgeons, head and neck surgery, neurosurgeons, and dermatologists—for comprehensive patient care

Salary range for full-time/part-time openings is $311,975.00 - $367,575.00. Potential premium earnings are up to $7,116.00. Salaries are inclusive of incentives depending on skills and competencies and geographic location. Potential premium earnings are based on location. Annual Salary is determined by longevity with the Group and full time equivalent (FTE) work schedule/effort.
