Family Practice locums coverage is available in California with an outpatient, adult-focused clinic-no call and a supportive team make this an easy assignment to step into.

Highlights

• No call required
• Credentialing support with a 2-4 week timeframe
• Choice of commitment: full-time (40 hrs/week) or part-time (24-32 hrs/week)
• Adult-only panel (18+)

Practice Setting

• Outpatient preventative care / primary care clinic
• Community care focus: well visits, sick visits, immunizations, prevention, and chronic disease management
• Average volume: about 20 patients per day
• Strong onsite support, including MAs, referral department, care navigators, and medical scribes

Schedule

• Clinic days are Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday
• Scheduled hours are 11 am-8 pm
• Part-time option aligns well with 2-3 days per week (based on desired hours)
• Short-term coverage needed (around a few months) with extension potential

Cases and Procedures

• Wellness and routine check-ups
• Immunizations and preventive care
• Diagnosis and treatment of internal medicine conditions seen in primary care
• Chronic disease management (including diabetes and hypertension)
• No in-office procedures

Requirements

• Must be an MD/DO
• Board Certified in Family Medicine
• Active California license required (unable to wait for license)
