Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 10/04/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Local Contract Unit Specifics: Number of Beds: 8 Patient Ratios: 2:1 Unit staffing description: Mixed patient population, open ICU, goal staffing 4 RNs 24/7 Type of equipment : GE B650 cardiac monitors, vents, Gaymar cooling Documentation system: Meditech Scheduling requirements: Self-scheduling encouraged, EOW, OT ok if available, flexible scheduling Floating policy: ICU may float to critical care or intermediate care areas when needed Patient Experience requirements: AIDET validation during orientation, unit is focused on Nurse Communication (nurses listen carefully and nurse explain things in a way patients can understand), white board use, hourly rounding, bedside care conference/hand off Hospital Specifics- Certifications: JC- Gold Seal of Approval™ for Healthcare Quality and Safety, JC Stroke, JC Ortho/Spine, Chest Pain Accred, Healthgrades Coronary Intervention and Coronary procedures Excellence Awards, Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade A, Healthgrades Patients Safety Excellence Award, Commission on Cancer Accred, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services have ranked us as a top performing hospital in the nation on core measures, Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine has received the prestigious Healogics Center of Excellence in Wound Healing Award four consecutive years, American College of Radiology has accredited CT, MRI and nuclear medicine, Vascular Ultrasound accreditation by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Vascular Laboratories (ICAVL), NICHE (Nurses Improving Care for Healthsystem Elders) Must have 1 year of recent ICU experience, be available every other weekend and have a state or compact RN license.
