About Our Residency
Trinity Health Livingston Family Medicine Residency is a fully accredited ACGME program with Osteopathic Recognition and 21 resident positions. Our program offers a unique blend of community-based and academic training, providing residents with a broad spectrum of clinical experiences in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Residents train at Trinity Health Livingston Hospital and Trinity Health Brighton, gaining exposure to adult medicine, critical care, emergency medicine, obstetrics, pediatrics, surgery, behavioral health, and numerous specialty services. The residency's innovative two-week mini-block curriculum promotes focused learning, continuity of patient care, and resident wellness while preparing graduates for comprehensive Family Medicine practice.
The residency continuity clinic is located at Trinity Health Brighton, a state-of-the-art 96,000-square-foot outpatient facility that features outpatient surgery, emergency services, a comprehensive cancer center, laboratory and radiology services, vascular testing, specialty clinics, and a 24-bed short stay center. The Brighton campus is also the future home of Trinity Health Livingston Hospital, creating an integrated healthcare environment that enhances resident education and patient care.
Our residents benefit from training in a supportive, team-based, and family-friendly culture while leveraging resources from both a community hospital setting and the larger Trinity Health Ann Arbor academic network. Additional educational opportunities include training in addiction medicine, lifestyle medicine, sports medicine, point-of-care ultrasound, women's health, and breastfeeding medicine. Weekly didactic sessions, hands-on workshops, quality improvement initiatives, and interdisciplinary learning experiences further enrich resident education.
