A financially strong, independent CAH in Western Iowa is seeking an accomplished family medicine physician to serve as its next Chief Medical Officer following a $29M expansion and renovation. This is an exceptional opportunity for a proven physician leader to help shape the future of this highly respected rural health system while maintaining a meaningful clinic practice with the support of an engaged executive team and Board of Directors.

Position Details:
• $450,000 base salary guarantee, $50K retention bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package, including IPERS
• Split schedule with 2 days per week in the outpatient clinic and 3 protected admin days dedicated to Chief Medical Officer responsibilities
• Serve as the clinical leader for the organization by advancing quality initiatives, physician engagement, patient safety, and performance improvement across the health system
• Collaborate with the CEO, executive leadership team, Board of Directors, and Chief of Staff to establish strategic priorities, strengthen clinical operations, and drive organizational excellence
• Previous physician leadership experience is required; prior CMO experience strongly preferred
