Description
Opportunity InformationSutter East Bay Medical Group (SEBMG) is seeking a full-time OB hospitalist physician to join a collaborative team of clinicians providing compassionate and evidence-based care to high-risk and community clinic patients.
FTE can be flexible from .5-1.0
This hospital is part of the Alta Bates Summit Medical Center, the East Bay's largest private nonprofit medical center. Alta Bates Hospital delivers approximately 5,000 babies from within our community annually and is a referral center for high-risk obstetrics. The hospital has:24 LDRP rooms, 3 ORs on labor and delivery, an 8 bed OB Triage
- A 14-bed Antepartum Unit with affiliated MFM co-management a 55-bed Level III NICU with in-house neonatologists
- Advanced practice nurses specialized in newborn evaluation and resuscitation attend deliveries
- Two in-house OB anesthesiologists
- A full electronic medical record system and remote fetal heart rate monitoring.
- 12-15 shifts per month, mix of rounding and admitting
- Hospital has Level III NICU and Interventional Radiology, Perinatology, Neonatology available 24/7
Responsibilities will include delivery attendance, OB triage, patient evaluation and management, surgical and OB delivery assists, fetal monitoring and ED coverage for OB patients. This opportunity involves working closely with on-site midwife who is part of the team. In addition, our hospitalists work collaboratively with local obstetricians and midwives who deliver at Alta Bates. There are two hospitalists in-house 24/7 and one midwife in house 24/7. A back-up hospitalist is also available.

- An active and unrestricted CA license,
- Current DEA license.

The listed range is solely a base compensation for full time (1.0 FTE) clinicians. It does not include incentives and benefits. The base compensation rate may be adjusted based on training, experience, community need and other possible determining components.
- Residency Stipend of $1,000 per month for residents who commit to hire for a maximum of 12 months
